Dr. Mikhail Varshavski, commonly known as “Doctor Mike” is a US physician, media personality, writer, and philanthropist with more than 250 million views online took time out of his busy schedule in Israel to come and visit Save a Child’s Heart at the Wolfson Medical Center and the Children’s Home.

During the visit, Dr. Mike said: “With all the turmoil and suffering in the Middle East and around the world, it’s easy to be heartbroken, it’s a lot harder to mend a heart – and that’s what these guys are doing here every day. It’s inspiring how they overcome politics and geography to save children’s lives. The doctors and all the staff here are heroes, they really are.”

Dr. Mike administered emergency treatment to a 26-year-old who was having an acute allergic reaction about two hours after takeoff, Ynet reported. Flight attendants asked whether there was a doctor aboard, according to the report Thursday on last week’s incident.

Doctor Mike also had a surprise visit from one of the United Hatzalah of Israel volunteers!

Using specially equipped motorcycle ambulances, United Hatzalah’s network of more than 5,000 volunteer medics help save thousands of lives each year across Israel by providing medical treatment in an average response time of 3 minutes or less.

Doctor Mike visited the high tech village in Jerusalem!

We met with BrainQ Technologies they are working on neurological recovery and Genetika+, a young startup which develops a diagnosis for depression treatment using a blood sample.
